What is Beldia Royal?

Beldia Royal is a premium grade of Beldia hash, one of the most traditional and authentic Moroccan hashish varieties available in Dutch coffeeshops. The name "Beldia" means "local" or "from the land" in Moroccan Arabic, referring to the indigenous cannabis landrace that has been cultivated in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco for centuries. The "Royal" designation indicates a higher quality selection, made from the finest first-pass sift of carefully grown Beldia plants. Beldia hash won 3rd prize for Best Traditional Hash at the 2024 Amsterdam Coffeeshop Awards, solidifying its reputation as one of the finest traditional hashes on the market.

How is it made?

Beldia Royal is produced using the traditional Moroccan dry sift method that has been passed down through generations of Rif Mountain farmers. After harvesting, the cannabis plants are dried and the flowers are beaten over fine mesh sieves to separate the trichome-rich resin from the plant material. For the Royal grade, only the finest first-pass kief is used, resulting in a purer and more potent product. This kief is then gently pressed into blocks, creating a hash with a soft, slightly crumbly texture and a beautiful golden to light brown color.
