Katsu was an excellent little coffeeshop in De Pijp area. Despite the area being a bit more pricey for restaurants etc I found the pricing here was most reasonable compared to a lot of other coffeeshops in the Dam. They had a great outdoor smoking area as well under cover with wind breaks if you prefer a less smoky environment. Inside the shop the vibes were great, the bud tender was extremely helpful and the barista made a great cappuccino and was very friendly. Definitely recommend for a nice chilled stop. Also make sure to try the infused stroopwaffels 👌

Cool coofeeshop really chill, the staff were very nicely and talkative. We went there on our first night in Amsterdam to reach some really cool vibes spot ♡ and guess what? we get that! They also have a lot of options and some special disccounts that are bugdet friendly. On the second night that me and my bf went there, the staff was a bit different than before. The bald one man was very rude and indecent, asking questions for my CV card while I am a woman with 21 years old, just to make us uncomfortable because we took too much time to see the stuff.

so nice we had to do it twice in 24 hours , don’t want to recommend this lest it becomes a tourist trap like some of the others we saw on our trip but alas this place deserves all the kudos. €5 for a tobacco joint which saved me the embarrassment of trying to roll in front of my future wife. nice playlist and a super chill atmosphere. we brought our scrabble board and made ourselves at home.puff puff pass🕴️ my wife scored 40 for ‘gooning’, which ultimately led to her victory! a quick google search revealed the latest meaning of ‘gooning’. -something to be discussed at home.

This place has a solid mix of locals and tourists, real good energy all around. Staff showed love, super helpful and respectful. The vibe inside is cozy, feel like you could stay all day. We even grabbed a lighter (€3) on the way out, a little souvenir to remember the spot.

Katsu was amazing, such a great vibe as many have said. It is a true locals hangout spot with a very diverse mix of people chilling, smoking, and socializing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the selection of green was excellent. My favorite part was sitting outside, soaking up the neighborhood atmosphere. It felt like the coffeeshop version of a community bar, but more relaxed.
