I am an English tourists & This is my first time visiting Amsterdam, I have gone to over 35 coffee shops in the time I have been here, Balou stands out from the rest. My tip (Hire a bike) to explore 10x faster This is my 3rd time visiting Coffee shop Balou in Amsterdam, over a 3 day period & it is an absolute brilliant slightly hidden gem, They are Very welcoming, brilliant spoken English and I believe many other languages The owner loved sharing fishing knowledge and pictures together and he’s employees are all brilliant. All you have to do is ask & these guys here will try their hardest to satisfy any of your needs. This review is well deserved

I got in real early from the states and found this amazing coffeeshop. The gents were super friendly when I walked in, service and drinks were great, I ended up hanging on the second floor for about three hours and worked remotely. They definitely had the right tunes playing and set a great vibe. Be sure to ask about their food too, they've got a solid choice of snacks and toasties etc. I highly recommend Balou to anyone!

Best Coffee shop in Dam. Tunes are an old school hip hop vibe. Electric games tables on both floors are great edition and a proper laugh. AND The produce is the best in town.

Probably my favourite coffeeshop in amsterdam if your looking for good smoke with comfy sofas not them hard chairs u find most other places then this is the place to come. I'll be back again next time I visit amsterdam
